Hawks hold a special place for me. I found one dead on our driveway about 5 years ago. Looks just like the one in the 1st photo. He ment alot to so I had him stuff. He had starved to death. Not one for stuff animals, but since he was found on our property I wanted to persurve him. He now sits proudly again lover looking our living area. Now we have many hawks living here and flying over our fields during the summer. There weren’t many years ago. But by letting nature take back our fields along the creek so much wildlife has returned. Hugs Carrie
Quite wonderful pictures.
Strangely in meditation, I am often a flying eagle that hovers high above the mountains and valleys. There is something magical about it.
I agree with Raven…they are magnificent creatures..and what beauties, with such detail in the closeups. Masters of the Air, and no mistake… xPenx
Early morning and late evening is an active time for their hunt.
They are so magnificent Eddie! I often see them and am always in awe…something about them simply takes my breath away.
Hi Eddie,
The latter is a hawk? The others are easily recognisable, but this one took me by suprise, (As hawks do)
The last one is an osprey or ‘fish hawk’, as its diet is only fish. They are a commone site around here.
