TEACHINGS AND IMAGES OF BUDDHA

Buddha

He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings,

and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye.

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family,

to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind.

If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment,

and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.

Buddha Nature

Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind.

Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten.

Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others.

He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past,

not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles,

but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.

Buddha

Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech,

and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.

Meditate. Live purely. Be quiet. Do your work with mastery.

Like the moon, come out from behind the clouds! Shine.

     On a long journey of human life, faith is the best of companions;

it is the best refreshment on the journey; and it is the greatest property.

  1. What a very enlightening and encouraging blog, my friend…I agree, we have this moment, and what we do with it is what shapes us..in this moment I wish for you all that you have ascribed here: that peace will walk with you, faith will continue to quench you, and that others will give to you what you have so thoughtfully given to them in the blogs that you write..love, Cathy.

  3. This is a wonderful post Eddie wonderful enlightening words.. and strangely enough this weekend I bought a statue similar to the one on the top carved in wood, she stands around 2 feet in height and is resting her head upon her knee.. I have placed her on my landing on top of the stairs, as she is so restful to aid all who sleep 🙂 … Blessings sent your way Eddie ~Dreamwalker xx
