Protect The Forests

Don’t be afraid to cry. It will free your mind of sorrowful thoughts.

“We must protect the forests for our children, grandchildren

and children yet to be born. We must protect the forests

for those who can’t speak for themselves  such

as the birds, animals, fish and trees.”

Our first teacher is our own heart.

“Out of the Indian approach to life there comes a great freedom-an intense and absorbing love for nature; a respect for life; enriching faith in a Supreme Power; and principles of truth, honesty, generosity, equity, and brotherhood as a guide to mundane relations.”

Luther Standing Bear, Oglala

Pictured here are just some of the many severely threatened animals.

All life depends on the forests. Help protect them.

Left to right and down they are the:

tarsier, tiger, koala bear, bob cat, grey chanted douc, wolf, ape, and chimpanzee.

  1. They are all beautiful animals. It is worth thinking twice about the long-term effects of the things we do. Thank you for sharing this.

  2. It saddens me greatly that so many species are on the endangered list Eddie, as Mankind in his so called progression forgets his brothers our animal kingdom in their race for profit and greed…
So many are in need of our help…
Our Forests are our very breath…….

    • Your kind heart and words reflect the sadness of many.
We are gathering together for the benefit of all life. Now is
that time when actions speak louder!
Thank you Dreamwalker for your kindness. many blessings, Eddie

  3. Jeez, I wish humans would get their so called reasoning brains together and stop ruining what nature so carefully put in place!

  4. This is so sad Eddie. We know that those beautiful animals get killed also cos of their fur cos of their tail
we have to focus on the governments They have to forbid that.Did u know that certain animals tail will cut off for newly weds future??? Horror of the worst. Its not only their habitat Its also the brain of sick ppl
Keep on fighting We see zoo’s they have a program to save animals.Thumbs up Chester and Dublin zoo
U can read abt the breeding programs .
They do their best and are happy when a Bengal Royal is born..At the other end of the world they kill them
    Crezy world

    • Your words and thoughts are greatly appreciated MJ. It saddens my heart to think these things.
Perhaps those who see no wrong in it need lessons of the heart. How will they change? Laws do little
      to prevent senseless slaughter.
Thank you very much for your comment. Eddie

    • Möchten mehr Sonne zu sehen! Viel Regen und die Notwendigkeit, ein wenig austrocknen. Vielen Dank für Ihre freundlichen Gedanken Gislinds. Genießen Sie Ihre Woche im voraus. Liebe, Eddie

  5. your words are so heartbreakingly true, Eddie, and many are listening, but so many , those with the power and resources to do something seem to be switched off. We can only pray that something is done before it’s too late. love to you xPenx

  6. “Our first teacher is our own heart.” If every child was taught this simple message, the world would be a much happier place.

  7. may I share on facebook and tweet as well? I feel quite sad to know these loving beings are endangered. The images of the tiger reminded me of the images I saw in last nights meditation.

    in light, linda

  8. Thank you for mentioning the names of the animals! I never knew what the first one at the top was called, lol 🙂 It’s sad these animals are threatened species though 😦

  9. Love the first quote. I belive it was Don Talayesva who said it.
    Beautiful words and images

kindness is always welcome
