A Product of Our Mind

IMG_1063

Our lives are a product of our mind.
What we are today is a result of what we
thought yesterday. What we think today
influences what happens to us tomorrow.
Our entire lives are products of our mind.

  1. Eddie first what a Beautiful Rose you have presented us with from your Garden of Delights my friend.. And yes such truer words were never spoken.. All we see is a product of our thinking..I earnestly hope that we produce a brighter future with our current thinking.. I live in hope.. For our Peace in our Time as you always remind me Eddie..
    Blessings your way

  2. The idea of my thoughts creating my world is often on my mind. Thank you for the inspiration once again dear Eddie. Change is hard, over 80% of the thoughts you have tomorrow will be the same as the ones you had today. It takes a lot of will power and tenacity to make changes stick.

  3. Two things we know, we are born and we die.
Its what is in between that counts, everything is a product of our mind.
The product of our mind is our choice, either good or evil.

  4. What a beautiful rose you grew 🙂

As far as bad things happening to us … first, what is bad? I think part of the reason we come here is to learn from difficulty, and we make things even more difficult sometimes by comparing what’s happening to us to what (we think is) happening to others, the justice of it all, etc., rather than just getting on with dealing with it.

What I know for sure is that fear and negative thoughts produce an unpleasant, negative outlook. The lens through which we look at our experience really is enough to make the difference between ‘good’ and ‘bad.’ So, I agree that our thoughts create our experiences on that basis alone.

    • “Our thoughts create our experiences”, your words perfectly sum up the essence of Buddha’s teaching.
Thank you so very much for your kindness. Enjoy a beautiful day Heather

  5. Eddy, I agree we are the product of our minds but nothing we do today makes us the person we will be tomorrow. Only when that tomorrow is today are we really what we are. What /I was yesterday only effects those around me who can’t see that each day is a new awakening and a new perspective from which to perceive who we really are. Good one. Smiles…>KB

  6. Always loved these type of quotations..they make me so glad that I love to garden…..because the pumpkin pie I make from home grown pumpkins started with a though I had 6 moths ago…designed to grow and nurture something watched it grow produce and die…then feed me so I can do the same …ahh the cycle of life what a lovely thing to watch in action.

    • Your statement summarizes very well how progression moves us though life. Excellent
Thank you very much Jolynn for your thoughtful and kind remarks. They are greatly appreciated.
      Enjoy a most pleasant evening.

  7. Hi Eddie, Reading and absorbing your gentle posts of yesterday and today give me wisdom for tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your special gifts. 🙂

  8. I want to “Like” this, but am holding back. It’s an interesting saying, but does it also mean that when bad things happen to us, we actually “willed” them to? I don’t think so. Your thoughts? LMA

    • It has been said in various ways Louisa. ‘As we think so shall we become’ etc..
I would not say “willed” as in “desired”, but what could be said is that you caused
things to happen by your actions or behavior, thoughts, speech, or even ‘re-actions’.
