Positive Hindrances

watching TV

Most of the luxuries, and many of the so-called comforts,
of life are not only indispensable, but positive hindrances
to the elevation of mankind.

  1. Yes… But I have to admitting to one hindrance I so enjoy.. And that is the web we have within our connections here on WP Eddie..
But when we step back and take a hard look upon the effects such mobile devices are having our our next generation.. We see their eyes forever down cast upon their screens… Even while out walking.. *Sigh* they miss so much of Nature ..
    Insightful Message dear Eddie
    Many thanks my friend
    Love and Blessings
    Sue

    • Nature is far removed from much of populous today. How will this all change our world? It remains to be seen.
The Earth needs attention. How and when we give it is up to us. Thank you very much Sue for your kind and
thoughtful words. sending love and blessings, Eddie

  2. Completely agree … I have not watched TV in many years now, and try to keep my life as low-tech (and non-consumer-oriented) as possible.

    • No disagreement here Wolfie. We are ultimately responsible for what is being broadcast or what we view.
So very good hearing from you dear. Have a beautiful weekend. Eddie

  3. I think that it’s like this very often. Couples both having to go out to work to pay for the house and items that they cannot enjoy because they are always away at work, so what is the point. It’s an hindrance in very many cases. An hindrance to getting in touch with finding our true path, perhaps, I am not sure.
By the way, I love ‘Walden’

  4. You have that right, Eddie. Can you imagine if people would lived 150 years ago could see how today’s populace sits around with a ‘gadget’ in hand, exploring the world from their armchairs, might say? We are losing touch with nature ‘in the flesh’ … and along with the pros, there are too many cons.
