Hold On

 tall pine

Hold on to what is good, even if it is a handful
of dirt. Hold on to what you believe, even if it is
a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you
must do, even if it is a long way from here. Hold
on to life, even if is easier to let go. Hold on
to my hand, even if I have gone away from you.

  1. I am so thankful that you’ve written this…it made me remember why I asked to be friends with you way back on WLS…you have such an instinct (maybe an unconscious one?) for writing what one needs to hear…I am holding on Eddie, to my handful of dirt because it is mine…to the tree branch because I stand alone…to life, for I won’t let go– I step forward, with what seems like one little baby step at a time, but it IS forward…and to your hand, because you are my good friend, even tho’ you are far away. Katie.
