I Taught You

I have always taught you that a liar
is not worthy of being considered a man.

  1. My automatic reaction was Yes but on thinking about it, I will have to disagree. There are certain occasions when lying could be the difference between life and death. Take any indigenous peoples that were forced to convert to Christianity, or be wiped out. <3.

  2. That’s a very interesting quote because most of us have learned that telling your real truth is not acceptable. Everyone wants to hear the shiny truth that makes them comfortable.

      • I’ve learned that if I don’t, I spend a great deal of time alone. I’m looking for for my tribe of truth tellers. People who are willing to hear my truth and not feel threatened by it. I don’t mind being alone. It’s better than “shading” the truth. I’m usually the silent one in any group. The truth is something I’m grappling with these days. It’s important.

your kind word is always welcome
