Being Alive

People say that what we’re all seeking
is a meaning for life. I don’t think
that’s what we’re really seeking. I think
that what we’re seeking is an experience
of being alive, so that our life experiences
on the purely physical plane will have
resonances with our own innermost being
and reality, so that we actually feel
the rapture of being alive.

  1. Wonderful insight into the human condition Eddie. Yes, I think you have revealed what we are seeking. Somehow, though, I still want to know the meaning of life. 💙

      • For sure I love all the emotions and that way I know when I’m happy 😊 which is mostly 😀 it was a quiet yet busy weekend…compose a beautiful week Eddie…love to see your flowers! Enjoy your gardens….

  2. Ahh, such a powerful quote, Eddie, and at a time of year when many of us feel a bit sluggish. Thank you so much for bringing a spot of Joseph Campbell into today.

    • There are at least two planes of existence. You know most people function entirely on the physical plane.
It’s difficult to say the least, to come out of it especially after the Holiday season. Deep breathing,
more deep breathing, now practice, practice, practice.
Thanks so much for your kind response Jet.
