Meet With Success

I learned this, at least, by my experiment:
that if one advances confidently in the
direction of his dreams, and endeavors to
live the life which he has imagined,
he will meet with a success
unexpected in common hours.

  1. Ah- Thoreau! His grasp of what is important and what’s not – is timeless. It’s always a comfort to see his words, and this quote is a great example.

This one also reminds me of part of Kipling’s ‘If” – “If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you – and make allowance for their doubting too…”

Others with good intentions can oftentimes plant the seeds of doubt, though wise worlds of Thoreau and Kipling remind us to stay true to our own destiny….
    Thanks for this!

    • What a great reminder of the importance of Kipling.
yes, stay tuned to our destiny,
changing daily. Have I said how much I love your comments lately? Thank you
      Need to read more Kipling….

      • de nada… am presently trying to understand the Latin American red-tape system, which is basically the same world wide… except i also need to remember that i am a guest in this country, so it becomes extra delicate….
thanks for all of the positive energy that you share with the world. that is what our world needs….

  2. Hi Eddie. My self confidence has improved since I started writing and blogging in August last year. I think because I have made lots of ‘friends’ online who have left positive comments and this has encouraged me. This encouragement and moral support has been lacking in my private live for the past 24 years. But I am trying to be more positive on my own now as well. People like you are a great moral support. Thank you.

  3. Hello Eddie. I know the above saying is true but confidence, or lack of it, is what holds me back. That probably and the courage of my convictions, which I also lack. But thank you for your interest and positive thoughts.
