A Limited Time

It’s only when we truly know and understand
that we have a limited time on earth — and that
we have no way of knowing when our time is up —
that we will begin to live each day to the fullest,
as if it was the only one we had.

  1. The two-week vigil ended around 1:40 yesterday morning, and when you posted this, we were on that two-hour drive from the hospital back to his home town.

Just this past week, I mentioned to the patient’s sister that ‘we only have today…’ Presently she and her family are in deep grief.

    Your post is very timely.

    • It is not easy being with a loved one who is making the transition (from life to death).
This is a matter that anyone who loves someone will deal with at some point in their life.

  2. It was my long illness that taught me this lesson. And to make the most of the good days. It means little tolerance for time wasters….get real or get out😀

your kind word is always welcome
