Let Go

Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom
is the only condition for happiness. If, in
our heart, we still cling to anything – anger,
anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.

  1. A friend once stated to me, “I think you are the most ‘free’ person I’ve ever known.” I am always grateful for those who share kind observations about our nature; if thought yet not shared, the beauty of the gift stays in the shadows.
His words taught me to share my own observations about others – freely and with a loving heart. The last one that burns strongest was when standing in line for usa immigration in the new orleans airport. I’d watched the young woman patiently pace the aisles in our late-night flight. The couple was in front of me in line, and she seemed to be pure goodness, and when our eyes met, I smiled and said, “You have a good energy.’ She beamed and said, “Really? How can you tell?!” I looked at her/then her husband and added, “Your entire body smiles. |It comes from within.” He nodded. I added, “I am an artist; it’s often easy for me to read people.” She then exclaimed, “|I”m an artist too!” Turns out she’s also studying astrology, so we chatted a few short minutes more until time for them to be stamped back into the USA.

Perdon my ramblings – free to edit/keep in moderation.. today is a very-easy day for internet, and soon I’ll be home and working on an impressionistic painting for the show!

  2. Exactly Eddie.. One has to let go not only of possessions and emotions, but our judgements too… Not easy, but we are all of us works in progress.. And I am shedding more and more layer by layer.. 🙂

kindness is always welcome
